PROMET PREFIX was visited by students
We welcomed a special on-site visit on the day of the matriculation exams across the Czech Republic. The students of the Secondary School of Mechanical Engineering in Vsetín, which is known for its quality technical education and its connection with practice, toured our production halls and also visited our sister company PROMET FOUNDRY.
PROMET PREFIX uses 5000m2 of space for production purposes, so we really walked around. The students were guided by the head of the technical department, David Šeďa, who described the individual machine tools from our portfolio and showed them what is machined on them. One of the stops was at the inspection station at the ZEISS 3D measuring equipment, where he explained to the students how the finished products are measured.
The largest customer of PROMET PREFIX is the Swiss elevator manufacturer Schindler, for whom we manufacture cableways, but also other key components of elevator systems such as brakes, brake calipers, motor covers or levers. It is no exaggeration to say that components from Ratibor help transport millions of people around the world.
Other groups of students toured the PROMET FOUNDRY foundry, where they got acquainted with the whole process of liquid metal production. It is here that the products we machine at PREFIX take their shape.
